Mayer Justice Court

 Mayer Justice Court, 12840 Central Avenue, Mayer, Arizona

When a person is arrested (booked to the Yavapai County Jail) or cited on Interstate 17 in Yavapai County they will need a Yavapai County criminal lawyer that is experienced in handling cases in the Mayer Justice Court.  Mayer Justice Court is located 10 miles from Interstate 17 and  adjacent to Highway 69 in Mayer, Arizona. The Mayer Justice Court handles cases involving minor civil traffic offenses, criminal misdemeanors, and initial appearances on felony charges. Defendants can be charged with violations of the Arizona Criminal Revised Statutes by a Yavapai County Sheriff deputy or an Arizona Highway Patrol officer (AZDPS).

Misdemeanor: Charges include but not limited to:

  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Driving Under the Influence DUI (impaired to the slightest degree) Extreme DUI or Aggravated DUI

Defendants that are charged with a crime in Mayer Justice Court will appear before the judge, Bill Rummer, for their initial appearance and a bond setting. If the defendant is charged with a misdemeanor the case will stay in the Mayer Justice Court and be prosecuted by the Yavapai County Attorney’s office misdemeanor staff. For clients that are charged with felonies their case will be transferred to Early Disposition Court (EDC) in either the Yavapai County Superior Court in Camp Verde or the Yavapai County Superior Court in Prescott.
